The gameplay is an unusual RTS battle with a tactical twist.

At the beginning of the passage, during the first run on the task, one training battle will be held. They won’t tell you everything here, but it’s useful.

There is currently one campaign available to overcome. We need to get a dark amulet and do something with it. Judging by the different endings, there are options for the development of events. Already, in fact, having completed the game, I guessed how it would be possible to turn the plot in a different direction.

The main activity is battles. Despite the visual simplicity of design, they are very complexly arranged.

In the usual case, before the battle, the field of the future battle is shown. Illuminated circles indicate the possible location of our troops, enemies are hidden in the fog.

There are a number of things you can do first:

– Scouts approximately (we are only told the number of units in the area) to scout out where the enemy has what forces. It won’t be possible to explore everything, so we need to explore the most promising areas.

– We send assassins to explored areas. This deals minor damage to enemy units before combat.

– For special craft points you can build small buildings such as barricades or traps.

– We position our troops in accordance with the information received in advance.

Important! Don’t forget to take messenger birds into your inventory. This is the only way to control troops here.

Reasonable positioning and formation of troops is the key to victory. It is advisable to defeat small enemy detachments with your large forces and not expose yourself to the opposite situation.

During the battle there are, frankly speaking, limited control options. Each order must be sent by mail bird, which has application cooldowns. You can only give one action command to one unit at a time. The only alternative is an order to simply move, then you can command at least everyone, but they will go in the same direction, so sometimes it is advantageous to split the army into tactical groups.

Often battles are a poorly controlled mash-up.

There are a whole bunch of nuances. For example:

– Some active unit skills require special honor points, which can only be obtained by killing specific enemies.

– If you have activity charges, you can force the fighter to do something like a furious attack. Of course, with the bird sending an order about this.

– If a unit falls in battle, it does not die completely. It’s as if one fighter in a squad is lost, but the squad itself remains. If a unit dies a sufficient number of times over several fights, only then will the unit disappear from the army.

– For successful battles, fighters receive experience, which, when leveled up, is transformed into passive improvements.

– Each unit has certain properties that must be taken into account. For example, a cart will give a buff to surrounding warriors in the form of an increase in health, and so on.

Our glorious army is quartered in the hub city. Here you can buy supplies and warriors, take quests to go on adventures.

There are a fairly small number of types of resources, but they are all important:

– We buy units and supplies for gold.

– Food (bread) is spent on food during the campaign. You can set out on a journey with a lack of this provisions, but this will lead to unfortunate events up to the complete (final) loss of units out of the blue.

– The second type of food is fish, used for relaxing in the city and restoring the number of troops. 1 rest – 1 unit’s life will be restored.

– Hammers are spent on building fortifications in battles.

The most important thing is purchasing in the city. There are a couple of tricks here. It is almost mandatory to use the price reduction button. This will reduce the cost of market lots by 1 gold, but will close one lot. If you buy 4 lots, you will get one for free – it is advisable to take this freebie every time. I doubt that you can actually beat the game if you don’t do this.

When the gold is spent and supplies are purchased, there is nothing left to do but go complete quests. It’s always a trip around the map with random events (both positive and negative) and of course battles.

ABOUT THE STATE OF EARLY ACCESS

Currently there is one campaign with several difficulties and a map editor. The duration of a slow walkthrough on normal difficulty is about 1.5 hours, which is not enough.

Let’s look at the pros and cons of the game and summarize.

+ Simple but nice graphics.

+ Good music and sound.

+ Interesting general idea for organizing battles. Battles are very competitive.

+ Many types of units, each with their own characteristics.

+ Interesting economic model.

THINGS THAT CAN BE BOTH A PLUS AND A MINUS:

± The game is quite difficult. And understanding it is not so easy and the battles are serious. Constantly lacking resources. But some people might like it.

– No Russian language text. Required level of knowledge of English – tends to intermediate. Still, there is a lot of text in tasks and events.

Preparation for an unusual RTS. Interesting mechanics of army control and economic system. Little content.

At the moment the situation can be described as tasty, but not enough. Even a not-so-skilled player like me quickly completed the campaign. Overall, the impressions are positive.
